The feedback sessions are really useful, in that they really help me establish not only what does and doesn't work, but also what aspects i do and do not need to consider.
for example, before today i was thinking about making my project local like Hunter, i now realise i order to ensure my approach remains "original" as an emulation, as oppose to copying i could consider using other headlines.
it was suggested i could look at headlines and crime from the 18th century (pre-Raphaelite period)
This was a great suggestion and gave me lots of inspiration instantly, i plan to do some research into this and go about creating some images for next week.
I think it will be an interesting contrast between crimes committed in the 18th century and crimes committed
today, for example there was a lot of pick-pocketing around that time, and people stole for food, as oppose to luxuries like in today's society.
when thinking about this on my way home from uni, i thought about the models i would require, and props ect.
i then realised that was potentially the most interesting aspect of using the historic headlines, as they would be surreal to a certain extent.
Before further research i am already aware of incestuous rape, back street abortionists, pick-pockets, and jack the ripper. it will be interesting to delve into historic crime as reference for this project.
